MVs Collection #03

Friendly Fires – “Skeleton Boy”
This is my absolute favorite video (and song) of the year so far. Being very litteral
to the song, they’ve transformed themselves into skeleton boys. This feat was
accomplished by using double-sided tape, fans and a shitload of bean bag balls.
Directed by Clemens Habicht.
School Of Seven Bells – “My Cabal”
This video is not for the queasy. Rotating cameras and the use of soft focus gives
it a dreamy feel to it. The setting (inside a soundstage) reminded me quite a bit
of the Spike Jonze directed Weezer video for “Undone (The Sweater Song)”
minus the dogs at the end. Directed by David Mullett.
Make The Girl Dance – “Baby Baby Baby”
3 unashamed french girls walking around au naturel (strategically placed black
bars blocking out the good bits) in the streets of Paris while lip-synching
the words to this new electro rock jam. Lady nakedness always gets my attention
so well played Make The Girl Dance, well played. Dibs on naked french girl #3.
Dredg – “Information”
Latest single from their new album “The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion” coming
out June 9. A performance video of Dredg doing what they do best which all
Montrealers will be able to witness August 2nd @ Les Foufoune Electriques.
