CMJ 2009: The Recap
Posted on November 8, 2009 |
My first CMJ Music Marathon was a fun-tastic one.
Most of my CMJ-ing was done @ Pianos, a great little venue on historic Ludlow St.
I’ve discovered at least half a dozen promising new bands (Seven Saturdays,
Warpaint, Deastro, Peggy Sue, Jeff The Brotherhood , Hurricane Bells,
Pete & The Pirates, Choir Of Young Believers) which will make their
way onto future episodes of AGDFA.
Can’t wait for next year’s edition.
The recap portion features pics and videos which can be all enjoy
trough the many links below.
Next up: SXSW! March 17-21, 2010. Only 120 days away!

Warpaint rules! they actually have a new official video for “Stars”

I saw them with School of Seven Bells last months, and wow, S7Bs really were trippy. I’d have like to been at the CMJ festival as well.
Curious, did you happen to run into a girl whose a young musician from Minnesota named Clara Salyer? She attended the CMJ festival. Her band “Total Babe” didn’t perform there (I don’t believe), but I told her about your podcast and feature of the festival a few weeks ago. Really promising young band/musician from hometown anyway.
