The Posies: Premiered 2 New Songs On KEXP + New Tour Dates

The posies went on Seattle’s KEXP Radio today to promote their sold out “Frosting
On The Beater” show, tomorrow night @ The Crocodile.

If performing their classic 1993 album in it’s entirety wasn’t enough,
for the sweetest encore of all time, the fans in attendance will get
a chance to hear 12 new songs from their upcoming album coming out
this Fall.

4 songs were performed live in the KEXP studio, 2 of which were new
and can be downloaded right here:

After tomorrow night’s show, they will leave Seattle behind, hop on a Jetplane to
the South of Spain to record said new album.

While staying there, they’ve organized a mini-tour of which I am very jealous
of since on said mini-tour, they will cover Teenage Fanclub‘s 1990 debut album
“A Catholic Education” in it’s entirety.

How F’ing awesome is that?

May. 02 – Guardatxea ( San Sebastian, Spain )
May. 03 – Four Seasons ( Castellon, Spain )
May. 04 – La Lonja ( Elche, Spain )
May. 05 – Teatro Principal de Pedro Munoz Seca ( El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain )
May. 06 – Centro Cultural Caja Granada ( Granada, Spain )
May. 07 – Boniface ( Santander, Spain )
May. 08 – Playa Club ( La Coruna, Spain )
May. 09 – Teatre Lloseta ( Mallorca, Spain )

They also have an acoustic show set for May 13th @ the Kulturhuset Bolgen
 in Norway and they will be part of the lineup for the Sasquatch! Music Festival
in Quincy, Washington on May 29th which is already sold out.

    thanks for capturing this, I was listening in, and recording it myself, but lost electricity just at the beginning of Solar Sister and got it back at the end of Flavor of the Month!

    Hey Michelle.

    I knew I heard Glitter right!

    Changed it at the last minute.

    Ken’s song for some reason, I heard Paper Bags.
    Damn if I know why. 🙂

    there’s just something about the name “caroline” in pop… the beach boys’ “caroline no,” the girl in the furs’ tune “pretty in pink” is caroline, and nelson bragg has “death of caroline” on his album “day into night”
